Ben Apad, right, was the last surviving Manong. He passed away on 1997.

Ben Apad was the last Manong to live at Agbayani Village until his death at 1997. On 2008, The Forty Acres and Agbayani Village was listed as a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service. Agbayani Village is owned and operated by the United Farm Workers of America, and is still used as affordable, low income housing for Delano's farmworkers.

On 2013, The National Park Service announced that the Forty Acres and Agbayani Village will be included in a statewide National Historic Park, dubbed the Cesar E. Chavez National Historic Park.
