Filipino Advocacy Day was a day that brought together organizations and communities across California to push for progressive policies that will uplift and protect the rights and welfare of the Filipino community and other marginalized groups. The Day is convened by LEAD Filipino and the UC Davis Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies, and in collaboration with a network of community based organizations and policy makers dedicated to building the political power of the Filipino community on a statewide level. Organizations include Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies, South of Market Community Action Network (SOMCAN), Little Manila Rising, Kumare Culture, Sinag-tala Filipino Theater and Performing Arts Association, Empowering Marginalized Asian Communities - EMAC, Kappa Psi Epsilon - UC Davis, Bridge: Pilipinx Outreach & Retention, National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), Sacramento Filipinx Lgbtqia, @Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women, @Northern California Pilipinx Student Alliance
